Obituary

Mary Louise Thomas, resident of Ferndale, WA, was born June 3rd, 1938 to Gill and Dorchie (Marsh) Peifer in Decatur, Illinois, the eldest daughter of four. She later moved to Washington in 1956 with her four children and settled in the Anacortes and Bellingham areas. In 1986, she married Bruce Thomas, who was the love of her life for 32 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Gill and Dorchie, her two brothers; and her youngest son, Nicholas Atkinson. Survivors include her children, William Atkinson, Kimberly Conklin, and Michael Atkinson; sister, Nancy; step-children, Theresa Thomas and Kevin Thomas; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Not one person who knew her will be able to see a hummingbird in flight or a peony in bloom and not be reminded of her love and acceptance.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, 6/25 at 12PM at Greenacres Memorial Park (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale).
