Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Bruner (Wiggins)

Mary Elizabeth Beth (Wiggins) Bruner, age 92, joined her Heavenly Father, best friend Harold, and loving son Stan on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was born August 31, 1919 in Appanoose, Kansas to Oscar and Mary May (Bowers) Wiggins.

She married Harold Walter Bruner on June 21, 1941.

Beth worked as a Rosie the Riveter during the war years, and went on to work for the Keyes Clinic, Western Washington University in the Registration and Admissions Dept, and the Whatcom County Court Clerks Office.

Beth is survived by her children Joan (Marshall) Pederson, John (Leslie) Bruner, Margaret (Guy) Abbott, and Craig Bruner; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and sister Alice Joy. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and her son Stan; brothers Wayne, Howard, David, Russell, Robert; and sisters Lottie Bond and Martha Jane Wiggins.

Beth was a longtime member of Northwest Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28th, 11:00 a.m. at Moles Bayview Chapel in Bellingham, followed by a reception. A special thank you to the Merrill Gardens for their loving care of our mother.

Memorials may be made to Whatcom County Hospice.
