Obituary

Marvin Evans was born to Jess and Aleine Evans on December 28th, 1932 in Des Arc, Arkansas. He married the love of his Life, Myrtle Mae Robbins, in 1953 in Blaine, WA.
Marvin was a top recruiter and worked in communications in the Air Force for twenty years. After his honorable discharge, Marvin went to work at BP oil for twenty years, retiring in 1994.
Some hobbies of his were camping, fishing, watching his kids and grandkids play sports, and visiting his home town of Des Arc, AR.
Marvin is survived by his wife Myrtle, daughter Melinda (Jim) Henderson, sons; Tim (Autumn) Evans, and Jeff (Amanda) Evans, brother Carroll (Rosa Mae) Evans, sister Loretta (Woody) Davis, sister in law Geneva Evans, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Jess and Aliene, and brother Merle Evans.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church on 119 Texas Street in Bellingham.
Memorial donations may be made in Marvin’s name to the National Parkinson’s Foundation and the Whatcom Hospice Foundation.
Thanks to the staff of Whatcom Hospice and at North Cascade Health and Rehab, Marvin passed away peacefully and surrounded by all three of his children and their spouses.

  1. Jeff and family, I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. Marve was a great coworker and boss, always fun, helpful, and fair. I have many good memories working with him.
