Obituary

Marlene D. Bakke, age 85, of Everson, WA passed away on Monday, March 27th, 2017. Marlene was born on October 13th, 1931 to parents Thorald and Grace Aarstol.
She graduated from Mount Baker High and married her high school sweetheart Tollef Bakke in September of 1951.
Marlene and Tollef were long time residents of Shoreline, WA, but she resided her final years in her parents farmhouse in Everson, WA She is preceded in death by her husband Tollef Bakke and is survived by her son Gordon Bakke (Anne), daughter Suzanne Jesmer (Michael), three grandchildren Ceara Bakke, Brian Bakke (Breanne), Jeffrey Jesmer, one great grandchild Lennon Avett Bakke and two brothers Gene Aarstol and Patrick Aarstol (Patricia).
She had a long career in the retail industry including Safeway in Shoreline and Charles Schaeffer Jewler’s in Bellingham, WA. She leaves behind many friends and extended family. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 5th at 1:00pm at Moles Farewell Tributes – Greenacres (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale) followed by a reception.

  1. Marlene was a force to be reckoned with (in a good way) and had a very unforgettable and wonderful laugh. The Bakke home in Shoreline was my home away from home while growing up and I remember that time with such fond memories. I hope the sadness in your hearts are soon replaced with peace and good memories. Love to you from Nancy
