Obituary

Mark Roger Gansler passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 near his home in Bellingham. Mark was born in Bellingham on December 28, 1963, to Pat (Anderson) and Marvin Gansler. He lived in Whatcom county most of his life.

Mark enjoyed the simple things in life-the sound of birds, the feel of the wind on his face. He taught us to slow down and notice and enjoy these things. Mark had a strong faith in the Lord; he touched many lives, and was loved by all who knew him. By giving the gift of being an organ and tissue donor, Mark will continue to touch the lives of many people.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Vera Anderson of Sumas, and Elver and Alma Gansler of Everson, and his stepdad Ray Otten. Mark leaves behind his mom, Pat Fuller and her husband Gary of Post Falls, ID; dad Marvin Gansler of Everson; sister Mari Walker and husband Craig of Hayden, ID; brother Hung Gansler and wife Cindy of Bellingham; nieces Rachel and Sara Walker of Hayden, ID; nephews, Troy and Jesse Gansler of Bellingham; aunts and uncles, Roger and Kim Anderson of Everson, Charlotte and Warren Jensen of Oak Harbor, Sally Pagh of Anacortes, Don Gansler of Everson, Neil and Pat Gansler of Longview; numerous cousins; the staff at Evergreen Supported Living; his special friends from Evergreen Supported Living; and many loving friends.

Hi Pat, was so saddened to hear the news of Marks passing, oh my how the years have gone by, I just remember meeting him at a very young age and last time I saw him what a young man he had become. I know this will be a void in your life. I’m so sorry not to be able to be there on Tues, I will be out of town. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
