Obituary

Marjorie Nordby passed into the arms of her heavenly father on May 20, 2016, at home with her family by her side. She was 88 years old.
Marjorie was born March 1st, 1928 in Burlington, WA to Theodore and Lena Lloyd. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Union High School in Sedro-Woolley. She married her high school sweetheart Kenneth Atterbury. They had three daughters. They later divorced.
Marjorie married Raymond Nordby on Nov. 8, 1980. Marjorie was active in the Campfire Girls, Campfire USA, The Grange, ABWA and her Church. She worked for Bellingham First Federal which later became Horizon Bank, and also at Northwestern Commercial Bank. Raymond and Marjorie enjoyed many years of traveling in their motorhome.
She is predeceased in death by: her parents, Theodore and Lena Lloyd, daughter, Susan L. Stepanek, brother Frank Lloyd, sister-in law Helen Lloyd, brother-in-law Carlyle Atterbury and stepson Gordon Nordby.
Marjorie is survived by: her husband Raymond, daughter Elaine Anderson (David), and Tina Karvonen (Carl), son-in-law Jon Stepanek, stepson Allen Nordby (Ulli), stepdaughter-in law Nancy Nordby, sister-in-law Jackie Atterbury, a niece Vicki Whetzel, nephew Rocky Atterbury, 7 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Bellingham Covenant Church (1530 E. Bakerview Rd) at 11AM on June 3rd, 2016. A reception and lunch will follow.
