Obituary

Marie Pierce, age 94, of Bellingham, WA passed away on Aug. 26, 2017 in Longview, WA. Marie was born in Bellingham to Fred and Ema Ringenbach on Dec. 31, 1922. She went to high school at Shuksan High and graduated in 1940. Marie married Ray Pierce in Bellingham on Nov. 4, 1943. Marie and Ray enjoyed many years of square dancing and spending summers at their cabin on Waldron Island. After Ray retired, they moved to Sandy Point, where they were members of the yacht club. They also enjoyed eight winters together in Yuma, AZ.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ema Ringenbach, brothers Cliff and Fred, sister Lorraine, and her late husband of 62 years, Ray Pierce. Marie is survived by her son Jack (Jeri) Pierce, grandson Cody of Cathlamet, WA, granddaughter Ashley, Jake (Helms) of Selah, WA, and great granddaughters Alissa, Sammy, Hannah, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
