Obituary

Marian J. Overcash, age 94, of Bellingham, passed away Friday June 6th 2025, surrounded by family. She was born August 16,1930, in Seattle, to Henry and Myrtle Budde. She is a graduate of Bellingham High School. She married at 18 and had two sons. They moved to Aberdeen Washington where she was hired by St. Joseph’s Hospital where she worked the Convent caring for ageing Nuns. She found great joy and satisfaction and would take her sons to visit the sisters. Later moving to Bellingham in 1967 she carried her experience to St. Lukes Hospital in Bellingham where she worked until retiring in 1993 at the age of 62. Marian enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and pets. She had deep affection for animals and loved her dog Snookie. She kept an impeccable organized lawn and garden and was an active member of her church. The family would like to thank Brookdale Assisted Living and Highland Care and Rehabilitation and a special thank you to Stephanie her longtime special friend for the care they provided in her last days. Marian was preceded in death by her Son Norman and sisters Evelyn, and Juanita, her brothers Frank, Eugene and Stanly. Marian is survived by her son Larry and wife Loree, Daughter-in-law Sherri, Granddaughters Sandy and husband Steve, Seanna and Husband Matt and Erika and husband Tyler. Great Grandson Damian, and many nieces and nephews extended family and close friends. Services will be on June 19, 2:00 at Greenacres Memorial Park Chapel, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, Washington.
