Obituary

Mari Williamson née Scott died peacefully in her home on Friday, March 24, 2017. She is survived by her sister Lynne (Edward Baker), sister-in-law Naomia Sweet, daughter Jan, son Steve, granddaughters Melanie (Andy Young) and Elizabeth (Eli Vignali), and two great-granddaughters, Naomia and Giorgiana. Her loving husband Albert passed before her in 2013.

Mari was born in Los Angeles to Mari and Archie Scott on October 7, 1921. In 1944, she married the love of her life, Al. They filled their lives with family and enjoyed sailing, camping, traveling, and entertaining their many friends. They were members of the Bellingham Yacht Club and Bellingham Country Club, and Mari was an active member of the local PEO chapter.

Besides the Seahawks and family, Mari adored chocolate and her beloved dogs. She loved to sing, especially her favorite song, “Don’t Fence Me In.”

A quiet burial was held at Bayview Cemetery on Monday, April 3, where close family members shared memories and said goodbye.
