Obituary

Mae Irene Wemp, age 93, of Lynden, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Mae was born on August 3, 1923 in Olds, Alberta, Canada to William and Ruth Anderson. She married George William Wemp in Ferndale on October 7, 1944 in Ferndale. Mae and George spent the next 72 years together. They raised their family in Ferndale before moving to Lynden. Mae is survived by her husband George; sons Don (Sherry) Wemp, Ken (Bonnie) Wemp and Craig (Deanna) Wemp; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother Bob (Barbara) Anderson. She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Anderson and sister in law Emma Anderson.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10, at 1:30pm at Greenacres (5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale).
