Obituary

Luvonne Elvera Nelson was born May 31, 1934 in Hatton, North Dakota to Obert and Mabel Berg. She passed away April 14^th, 2021 at the age of 86.

After high school, Luvonne moved to Ferndale. She met Donald Nelson, and that was it, he was the one. They were married on Oct. 17^th, 1953 in Ferndale.  They lived in Bellingham and raised 3 children, Steve, Sheree, and Jeff. Luvonne was a homemaker, antique dealer and volunteer. She loved to sing and help out at her church, Triumph Lutheran, and at the Lynden Christian Cash for Trash room.  She loved getting a good deal on her favorite antique glass and visiting new places.

Luvonne was preceded in death by Donald (July 2018), Jeff-son, (Mar. 2010) & son-in-law Gordy (Nov. 2012)

She is survived by her son Steve (Debbie), daughter Sheree (Gordy), six grandchildren; Jake (Trina), Jordan (Kate) & Jenna, Joelle (Brent) & Nick (Bethany) & Melissa (Travis), ten great-grandchildren; Tucker & Tuf, Ethan, Kimber, Geneva & Haile, Lillian & Vivian, Lilly & Cody.

She lived at Christian Health Care Center for the last 2 years of her life where she was very well taken care.

Luvonne was well loved and will be missed.

Memorials may be given to Triumph Lutheran Church and Lynden Christian School.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
