Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved sister, auntie and friend.  Lou Ann had a gracious heart, a loving soul and a brilliant mind. Lou Ann had a love of animals and had rescued two German Shepard’s – Starbuck and Stitch. From those two names you could guess she had a love of coffee and quilting. Lou Ann also had a deep and passionate love for her late husband Michael, who passed away in October 2018. Michael was her best friend and love of her life for over 30 years. Lou Ann was also predeceased by her brother Larry Vantreen in 2011, her mother Mary-Lou Vantreen in 2013, and her father, George Vantreen in 2018. Starbuck, Stitch and Aggi met Lou on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Lou is survived by her sisters Sheri Dohm (Mark) and Lori Wideman (John Ward); nephews Jacob, Jordan and James; sister in law Iris Vail (Jim); brother in law Gary Wells; nephew in law Mike Wells (Amanda); nieces in law Heidi Banach (Todd) and Heidi Vail; dear friends Becky, Marsha, Billy and other family and close friends. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Peace Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham would be greatly appreciated.
