Lewis Lloyd Sturtz was born on July 26, 1933 in Whatcom County to Donald and Florence Sturtz. He passed away on July 10, 2014 at home surrounded by family. While serving in the US Army, Lewis met his wife of 59 years, Leona. Together they had two daughters, Debra (Chip) Rich, Karen Brennan, and a son Jeffery Sturtz. Lewis is survived by his wife and two daughters, grandchildren; Melanie Rich, Kristina (Josh) Brennan-Lagasse, Elizabeth (Ben) Schrieber, Ryan (Lindsay) Brennan, Amber (BJ) Kerntke, and Ashley (Melissa) Pavone, great-grandchildren; Austin Brennan, Dylan Kok, Jasmine and Kasey Brennan, and Marisa Molendyk, with one on the way, brother Ron (Pat) Sturtz, sisters Shirley (Don) Woods, Sharon (David) Shores, and numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his young son Jeff, brother Richard, and his parents.

May you find comfort and hope in the promise recorded for us at Revelation 21:4 where it says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. All the best wishes for your family at this difficult time. I am truly sorry for your loss.
