Obituary

Leroy A. Ursin passed away June 30, 2022 at Silverado memory care. He was born June 20, 1939 in Bellingham.

Leroy attended Bellingham Technical school after graduating from Bellingham High school and joined the local Carpenter’s Union. He worked for local businesses and as a shipwright in Alaska. He clammed and fished a lot after retirement.  He loved to camp, fish, and swim at Baker Lake and Beachwood Resort where he had many friends. He was a member of the Bellingham Motorcycle Club. He attended the fish expo in Seattle every year with his good friend Robert Rome.

He was preceded in death by his wife Diane Trann Ursin, Sister Elaine, his mother Hilda Tobiason Ursin, father Anker Ursin, and significant friend Earl Fields.

Leroy is survived by stepdaughter Bonnie Trann Robertson (Dana), his grandson Jake and granddaughter Erin, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and significant friends Roberta, Ole Anderson, and Bob Rome.

A graveside service was held at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale, WA at 2P.M. on July 13, 2022, where he is currently laid to rest.
