Lenore P. Jefferson

Lenore Paula Jefferson, born July 13, 1962 passed away in the comfort of her home on October 15, 2012. She was born and raised on the Lummi Reservation. She was a beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Relative and Friend to many. Her smile, laughter, eyes and hands where blessed with the love of God. She always shared her praise and love of Her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born a natural helper, always willing to help any way she could, as she had a big heart. Her love for family, friends and life surmounted any height, depth or length. Her hands were always blessed and busy with work. From praying, to reading the bible or lending a helping hand. She was a lifelong harvester, gatherer and fisherwoman. She spent many hours clamming, fishing, canning and cooking. She had many talents and many favorite pastimes, none more so than spending time with the loves of her life, God, her mate Bob, children Kateri, Priscilla, Valerie, Douglas, granddaughter Danyah and her siblings and extended family. Lenore is survived by her mate Robert “Bob” Leach; brothers Jeffrey Jefferson, Michael and James Plaster, and Royrey Jefferson; sisters Valgina Kinley, Isabelle, Alice, Joi, Paula, Kelli and Miranda Jefferson, and Carmen Burke; children Kateri and Priscilla Hillaire, Valerie Tyler and Douglas Jones, Jr.; granddaughter Danyah Robertson; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Lenore is preceded in death by her parents Lillian Kinley (Solomon), Douglas Jefferson, Sr.; grandparents Felix & Dora Solomon and David & Isabelle Jefferson; brother Douglas Jefferson, Jr.; son Daniel Jefferson; and nephew Jeremy Jefferson.

Farewell Tribute Information

A Prayer Service will be held Friday, October 19, at 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 20, at 10:00 AM. Both services will be held at the Wexliem Community Building.
