Lena Marie Tooker passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She was 85, born July 9, 1928 in Bellingham to Ira John and Lena (Stroman) Fralick.

Lena married Robert M. Tooker on March 5, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1973.

Lena worked in the banking industry for over forty years. Starting at ONB, and then Northwestern Commercial Bank and retiring from US Bank as Operations Manager. She cherished her co workers and treated them like an extended family.

Lena always loved spending time with family. Many relatives remember all the wonderful celebrations that she and Robert had in their home and how special those times were. She also enjoyed gardening, travel, camping, and square dancing. Lena and Robert regularly attended events at the Elks and Moose lodge.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Glenn) Peters, Rick (Liyan) Tooker, Judy (Casey) Haugness; grandchildren, Trisha Peters, Gina (Troy) Cummings, Glenn (Carrie) Peters, Kara (Dean) Tryon, Samantha (Andy) Durrant, Max Tooker, Brandon Tooker, Lucy Tooker, Matthew (fiance Jaimee Mack) Haugness, Beau (Alyse) Haugness, Whitney (Jack) Westdal; great-grandchildren Darin, Derek ,Sadie, Dillon ,Christian, Madison, Elle, Collin, Breanna, Kilie ,Tayah, Luke, Jackson, Hayden; great-great grandchildren Jordan and Mia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  1. I so many fond memories of working with Lena at NCB. Lena taught me so much about banking and life in general. I will always cherish the after hours get togethers we had. She was such a wonderful person and coworker.

  3. I have many fond memmories of Lena as my supervisior at NCB how she put up with all of us young ladies I will never know. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this time. Sonja

  4. My aunt Lena was very special to me . Fond memories of staying at her home many times, as well as sharing two vacations with her, once when I was 11, and again in 2011 when she was 76yo. Will always remember how sweet she was!

  5. Not easy to say goodbye to such a lovely lady. My family was fortunate to celebrate many happy events with her and share in her life. Her family was so blessed to have such a loving, caring mother and grandmother. May great memories fill the void in your lives created by her passing.
