Obituary
It is with great sadness that we make this post. Kenneth Herschel Merrifield aka “Scooter or Kenny JR” passed away on Wednesday October 11th, 2023 in Custer, WA. The cause of death is indeterminate, with more information to come once the toxicology report comes in; It was noted by the coroner that Tobacco use likely had something to do with his death at such a young age, he was only 42 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary King, grandmother Geraldine King, uncle Troy Merrifield & aunt Brenda Merrifield. He is survived by his father Kenneth M. Merrifield, stepmom Wanda, and siblings Jamie, Timothy and Patrick. Other family members include his Grandmother Nicky, aunts Corrine & Sonja, Sally & Charlotte and their spouses, uncles Larry, Delyon and James and their spouses, as well as nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Kenny lived the life he chose to live, he loved hanging with friends, working on cars & computers, video games & cooking. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to a homelessness society, or local food bank.

Kenny and I use to hangout at school, we were together for a while. Kenny always wanted to hang out with friends and have fun, Kenny was and will always be an awesome person. It’s sad to hear your gone but not gone from our memories and our hearts. We all will see you when time comes. Sad you had to leave at such a young age.
