Obituary
June was born in Sitka, Alaska in 1954 to Joseph and Alice Taylor. She passed peacefully at home on January 8, 2018 in Ferndale, Washington.
June was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Alice Taylor, her brother Joseph Taylor, and her daughter-in-law, Jessie Barton.
June left behind her husband Elmer, her sons Jay and Nate, her grandson Austen, her sisters Joan and Carol, in-laws Nina & Chuck, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
June’s early years were spent in Bellingham, then Oak Harbor, where she graduated from Oak Harbor High School. Oak Harbor is where she met and married Elmer. They relocated to the Arlington area, but kept close to her family in Bellingham and more recently moved to Ferndale.
June’s life touched many people. Her love of children led her to work in the Stanwood-Camano schools. June was active in the Stanwood-Camano fair and Snohomish County 4-H horse program for many years. She loved all animals, especially horses, and her dogs and cats. June was always ready to go camping, quad riding, or traveling, especially on cruise ships. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the family gatherings. Her hobbies also included crafts, making creative cards (stamping), quilting and sewing.
June will be remembered for many reasons, but especially for her kind, compassionate, and generous nature toward family and friends; always there to help when need.
June is truly missed by those that knew her well. There is a huge void in the lives of those that loved her.
A celebration of June’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Moles Farewell Tributes – Bellingham, with a reception to follow.

I will miss our June. Her wit and slightly twisted humor were always welcome and always kind. June will be with us always in our memories and our hearts.

June’s passing is such a shock. My life has been blessed by the time we spent together, and will always be diminished without her in it. How I loved her dry, mischievous sense of humor, and her ever-readiness for another game of Hand and Foot.
All my love and deep condolences to Elmer, Carol, Joan, Nina and the whole family. I love you, June. I miss you.
