I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Joyce’s passing. She was such a beautiful kind lady and I am so thankful for special memories of time spent with her. My heart goes out to each of you at this time of loss. May the Lord bless you and keep all of you close to His Heart!

    Love your cousin,

    Margie

  2. Aunt Joyce was the younger sister of my Dad – Dave Melvin who passed 3 years ago. I like to think that Joyce, Dad, and their older brother Vic are catching up with each other. It had been many years since I got to see Joyce in person but remember her as a special lady. My wife and I still have the afghan she gave us on our wedding.Bruce and Paul I would like to wish you and your families all the best as you share memories of your Mom. Love Darrel

  3. My thoughts and love reach out to all of Aunty Joyce’s children and grandchildren. I will miss her so much, but I know she is still close to us and will always be in my heart.

  4. What a beautiful tribute to your dear mother. We are with you in prayer as you mourn Joyce’s loss.

Dear Bruce, Margie, Paul & Liz ~
Your mom was such a big part of our lives growing up. She was always kind and loving and joyful. I adored coming home from school to find her visiting with our mom because she always took time to include us as well. She was interested in what we were doing and showed her sincere care.

I love the photo you chose for her memorial page … it is exactly how I remember her! I don’t ever remember her with any sort of “grumpy or sad” face. She always had a ready smile and easy laugh. As adults, I got to join her and Kirra a few times for lunch so I could see, despite the hard times in her life (as well all have), how she kept up her lighthearted spirit through the years.

Though your mom is out of all pain, now living in abounding joy in the presence of Jesus, I know your hearts ache as you miss her presence. Our assurance, in Christ, is that we will be reunited with her (and all our loved ones who belong to Him) one day! What a comfort!

    Our love and prayers,
    Nan (for Marc, too)
