Obituary

Bellingham

Joseph (Joe) E. Larson, age 82 of Bellingham went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 16, 2014. He was born April 1, 1932 in Seattle, WA.

Joe lived in China as a missionary child until he was eight. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a Seabee, learning the electrical trade. Continuing his education, he became a Master Electrician and Electrical Contractor. Joe worked for the IBEW 191 at Mills Electric at Uniflite, Lakeway Electric, and his own business, Larson Electric.

Joe was an active member of Light & Life Christian Fellowship. He volunteered in many capacities, the most notable being: Light and Life Christian Fellowship, the Sonshine nursing home ministry, SOWERs Ministry which helped to build churches and camps, at both Warm Beach and Ferndale Christian Camps, and at Rancho Betania a Christian campground in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico.

He is survived by his wife Jan; sister Ruth (Spencer) Stamper; brothers Herb (Stacie) and John (Grace); son Dan (Peggy), grandchildren Tony, Therese (Weston) Chaney, Christy, and Stephanie (Doug) Larsen; son Dave (Thanh), Jeremiah, Joshua, Jasmine; son Doug (Christine), Christopher; daughter Donna (John) Quimby, Jessica (Bryan) Deem, Jonathan (Theresa) Quimby, Jennifer (Jonathan) Radke; son Dean (Sheryl), Elinor; great grandchildren Grace Larson and Ellianna Deem; and his many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 52 years, Floy Larson.

Farewell Tribute Information

The family would like to invite you to a memorial and celebration of Joes life on Monday, July 28, at Light & Life Christian Fellowship, 3800 Dana Rd. Bellingham at 1:00pm, with a reception immediately following. There is also a viewing that same day (7/28) at 10:00am and graveside service at 11:00am at Greenacres Cemetery located at Northwest and Axton. Donations Information
