Obituary

John Ted Scott, age 91, of Seattle, WA, passed away on Monday November 16, 2015. He was born August 24, 1924 in Richmond Beach, Virginia, to Wilson and Addie Scott. He was a proud journeyman union member, having worked as a construction worker most of his adult life, as well as a proud Veteran of WWII, having served in the Army, and receiving the World War II Victory Medal. John married his beloved wife Vera Alice Lane, June 1996. He loved to play the Washington State Lotto, and enjoyed his family immensely.

John is survived his wife Vera Lane Scott, of Seattle, WA, sons John Scott (Lea), of Bellingham, WA, Wendell Downs (Janice), of Seattle, WA, Arthur Marshall, of Montana, Clyde Hillaire (Heather), of Bellingham,WA, Barry Wesley, of Bellingham, WA, Richard Marshall “Swill Kanum” (Lori), of Bellingham, WA, Ignacio “Junior” Monar, of Portland; daughters Pricilla Scott, of Seattle, WA, Andrea Cooke, of Seattle, WA, Ruth Scott, of Seattle, WA, Tracey Bunnell (Bradley), of Seattle, WA, brothers James Scott and Bernard Scott, sisters Louise Spencer and Irene Price, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by Wanda Monar (mother to daughters), sons John Monar, Excalibur Scott, and Michael Wesley, as well as, Frank Scott, Wilson Milton Scott, Lucy Brown, Evelyn Brown, and Gladys Cole.

A prayer service will be held Thursday November 19, 2015 at 6pm, and a funeral service on Friday November 20, 2015 at 10am. Both services will be held at the Wexliem Community Building, Lummi Nation.
