Resident of Lynden, WA.

John “Jack” Richard Dunster, age 94 of Lynden, Washington, passed away April 18, 2014. John was born in Rome, NY on July 8, 1919, and moved to Bellingham in 1978.

John lived a carefree life full of excitement and much laughter. After getting out of the Army, which was an important part of his life, he was not one to sit idle. His accomplishments were many, always ready with a helping hand, willing smile, and a big heart. After moving to Lynden, and at age of 80-plus, he spent many hours helping to bring “The Youth Barn” in Lynden to life and enjoyed every minute of it.

John is survived by 3 children Katherine (Tim) Slover , John Dunster, Tracey Thayer (Bill) Morison, three loving grandchildren, Travis Thayer, Julie Thayer, and Danielle (Craig) Bailey, and 3 great grandchildren. He will be missed by those that loved him

Farewell Tribute Information

A graveside service will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park, Ferndale, 5700 Northwest Drive, on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at 2:00 with Military Honors under the direction of Moles Farewell Tributes. All are invited to attend the service and the reception to follow.
