Obituary

John M. Reynolds, of Bellingham, WA passed away on August 2, 2012 in a tragic car accident while on vacation with his family. He was born on July 24, 1968 in Bellingham to Jack and Ida (Lanphear) Reynolds. John worked locally for his family owned floor-covering business with his father and brother. He enjoyed the company of numerous family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved. He was a member of various online Mariners baseball communities and formed many long-term friendships through his love and knowledge of the game. From childhood, John was an avid reader and kept his hobby going throughout his life. John was respected for his knowledge, strong opinions, kind heart, and for his unique personality and sense of humor.

John was preceded in death by his mother Ida Reynolds, sister Jacquelene Reynolds, and nephew Brett Emley. He is survived by his father Jack Reynolds, brothers Patrick and Brian Reynolds, sister Shari Emley and husband Tony, nieces Mia Hammer and husband Ken, Shannon Reynolds, and Kacia Emley, nephews Joshua and Cullen Emley, and numerous other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Johns life will be held Saturday, September 1st at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel at Moles Greenacres, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, WA with a reception to follow.

  1. Our whole family was so sad to hear of Johnny’s death. We remember him as that cute shy boy who grew up next door to us. He was a very nice boy. We send our deepest sympathy to all the Reynolds family. The Schenck Family

  2. Condolences and sympathy to John’s family and friends. He was a a huge part of the Mariner’s online community and had many hundreds of friends with whom he shared his extensive baseball knowledge over many years. We miss him a lot and none of us will ever forget him.
