Obituary
Jimmy Lee Halderman of Everson, WA, passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 88. Jim was born on April 13, 1935, in Bellingham, WA. Jim graduated from Meridian High School in 1953. After high school graduation, he went to work at G.P. When his father passed away in 1955, he took over the family dairy farm; and he continued to operate the farm until his retirement in 1997.
In 1957, Jim met his wife, Dorothy (Dot). They were engaged and married 18 months later on January 10, 1959. Their romance lasted over 64 years and was blessed with five wonderful children, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Jim put family first, always and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He lived vicariously through his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren by sharing his love for farming, tractors, sports, and hard work. They brought him so much joy and happiness.
In retirement, Jim and Dorothy spent many days at their Eastern Washington home. They enjoyed the new adventure of building a new home and embracing a slower lifestyle. Family members and friends have many treasured memories of adventures with Grandpa Jim and Grandma Dot.
Jim was predeceased by his father, Roy Halderman, mother, Eleanor (Rohwer) Halderman, sister, Mary Jean (Jeanne) Halderman, and son, Brent Halderman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his sons Tim (Pam) and Tony; his daughters Barb Bosman (Randy) and Jennifer Rommel (Mike); his five grandchildren Brandon Bosman (wife Lyndsay), Brittany Luther (husband Jacob), Chelsie Rommel (Chris Brown), Haley Rommel (Jeeno Miranda), and Brent Halderman (Grace Baker); and his five great grandchildren Makenzie and Kyah Bosman, and Lance, Levi, and Luca Luther. He will forever be in their hearts and be missed every day very much.
Jim was a member of the Carnation Association, Darigold Association, Elks Club, Walter P. Chrysler Club, and Puget Sound Antique Tractor & Machinery Association. Everyone who knew Jim knew that he was a kind and loving man.
