Obituary
Jewel Mae (Riddle) Fitzgerald died peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on January 10, 2019 in Bellingham, WA. The daughter of Frank and Florence Garr, she was raised by her beloved grandparents, Charles and Clara Riddle.
Jewel graduated from business college in 1941 in Bellingham and spent over 30 years working for the city of Bellingham. She married Sam Gebo in 1946 and they settled in Beaverton, OR. After becoming a widow, she moved back to Bellingham and met and married Vern Fitzgerald in 1957.
Her two biggest passions were her children and her love of playing the piano. She started playing the piano at the age of four and continued to play throughout her life. She also enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling to Cannon Beach, OR, and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bill Gebo, her daughter, Kathleen Fitzgerald, and her son-in-law, Larry Tuor.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Tuor, son Bob Gebo, daughter Danelle Fitzgerald, son John Fitzgerald (Penny); grandson Toby Tuor (Tasha) and granddaughter Brandee Roy (Ryan); great-grandchildren Jackson, Niko, Max, Devyn, and Arlo; and her sweet kitty, Marshmallow.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at the Squalicum Boathouse (2600 N. Harbor Loop Dr., Bellingham).

What a dear sweet lady. Our lives were all better having known this special lady. She was a truly sweet, compassionate, loving lady. I am privileged to have known her.
