Obituary

With her family by her side, Jerilynn “Jeri” Kay LaMont went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2020 following a three-month respiratory illness. Jeri is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lou, daughter Kelli Wilcox (Nate), son Jeff (Jennifer), her grandchildren Jacob, Joel, and Jenna, great-grandson Wiley, her brothers Stan (Nancy), Steve, sister Julie and many nieces, nephews, and beloved relatives.

Jeri was born to Edwin and Edna Reimer on March 6, 1942 in Bellingham, WA. Jeri and Lou were Bellingham High School sweethearts and married on February 10, 1962. They lived and raised their children in Bellingham until retirement took them to Green Valley, AZ in 2014.

Jeri lived her faith as a woman of God and spent her life giving and caring for others with unconditional love and grace. She loved her Bellingham and Green Valley church communities and had a wide circle of friends. Jeri had a passion for writing cards and letters, and she loved to travel to visit family and friends and to make memories along the way. Jeri was a vibrant bright light in the hearts of so many; she loved well and she was well loved.

Jeri was the family historian and she knew everyone’s birthday, having a keen ability to retain numbers and dates. She loved to retell the stories that made us laugh.

At this time of unspeakable grief, we are comforted that she is with God and loved ones who preceded her in death. She is smiling, laughing, and dancing in her eternal paradise.

Jeri will be laid to rest in a private burial at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.

I am going to miss Jeri so much. We had so many fun times fun times together, including a road trip to Montana. I loved her great sense of humor, and she was always so positive and cheerful – a ray of sunshine!
