Obituary

Jeannine passed away peacefully on March 6th at Cordata Court memory care. She was born February 11, 1930 in Bellingham, WA to William (Floyd) and Ella King. She graduated from Bellingham High school and attended Western Washington State College.

Jeannine met and began dating Charles (chuck)Hurlbut at a dance in Burlington, WA. They married on September 23, 1950. Together they raised three daughters.

Atter being a stay-at-home mom for many years she went to work at the Whatcom County Court House, working in the election department and occasionally in licensing, where she gained some lifelong friends.

Jeannine was always on the go and nice to everyone. She loved spending her time with her family, friends and their pets. She loved animals and they loved her! Jeannine loved to travel, seeing much of the United States, Europe, Canada, Bermuda and Mexico.

Jeannine loved watching the Mariners with Chuck, attending some games, including one in Boston. She was a member of the Bellingham Golf and Country Club for many years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to the theater, music, shopping, her Pinochle group, Bingo, and spending time with her coffee buddies.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chuck, and sisters in-law Nila Bajema and Jackie Trivett.

She is survived by her daughters Terri (Jim) Harber, Lori (Scott) Richardson, Kari (Jeff) Olson, her sister Sally King, and Sister in-law Virginia Rorvig. Plus 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren (14th due soon), and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 13 at Greenacres Cemetary at 11:00 am, followed by an open house at 2711 Shepardson St. (Kari’s house) Bellingham WA. 98226.
