Obituary

Our beloved Jason entered the world on April 14th, 1972 in a robust fashion that exemplified how he would live his life.
Jason spent most of his early life growing up in Bellingham, Washington. He had a determination that was evidenced when he first learned to ski. After three lessons, he was skiing the black diamond runs, leaving Mom and Dad still on the bunny slopes.
As he grew into a young man, he became a father to his only beautiful son, Jake.
Jason had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and eventually moved to North Central Washington to be nearer to his father and step-mother, and to be closer to the natural beauty of the terrain he loved.
It was soon established that he had inherited a talent for welding from his father and grandfather. He obtained his certification and pursued a career as a welder.
Jason eventually moved to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and worked for several companies in the Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene areas where he made many new friends. He loved living in Idaho where he had access to explore the wilderness he so loved on his A.T.V.
Jason was a witty, loving, fun and generous man that brought joy to all who knew him.
Our dear Jason, although no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

Jason , you will be truly missed! A great honour to have known you and work with you, you’re one of the best welders ever and took pride in your work. Always shared a laugh and your deer and elk meat, thank you and God Bless!

  2. Our memories of Jason are from the year or so we were neighbors in Twisp. We have never met a gentler man, so rare with young men. You were careful with every word, and with that and your sunny smile, you were easy to be around. We celebrated your new career and success in your trade and wanted the best for you. We know that heaven is the best for us all, but it’s hard to let you go right now. We pray for peace and joy seeing how God made the world for your enjoyment, unspoiled. We will see you again, brother.

I knew Jason when his father Jim and I were classmates at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, back in 1975-1977. Jim and I would study at his apartment on occasion, and Jason was SUCH a ball of fire. He would always be in motion and talking constantly. He was so curious about what we were doing and it was obvious that he loved his daddy very, very much. The next, and last,, time I was with Jason was in 1986 when we visited the family during the World’s Fair. He had grown into a fine, well-mannered young man. My wife was captivated by what she called his beautiful eyes. Rest in peace, Jason. You, too, were loved very, very much.

  4. I only barely knew Jason. I had several conversations with him when he would come into my welding supply shop, always all smiles. He was a joy to talk to and listen to him talk about hunting, and shooting guns. He was one of my favorite customers. I am so sorry for your loss to Jason’s family. His smile and his friendliness will sure be missed in my store.

  5. I was Jason’s neighbor while he lived in coeur d alene. Jason was always very kind and we shared our love or the outdoors trucks trailers and my dog Roo. We spoke often especially in the spring summer and fall as we both tended to outside then. In will miss his straightening of my rock wall as the weather would challenge it staying in place. His and mine placing garbage cans back into their place when we got home. The quiet evening talks as the weather permitted after long days at work. He was always kind and good to me and I will miss him. I pray for his family as they grieve his loss. Kelly and Roohg7gg
