Obituary

Jim was born August 6, 1962 to Mildred (Williams) and Richard Marois, Sr. He learned at a young age that school was not for him. Jim was a proud Native American fisher and crabber and followed that ambition his entire life. Jim’s smile and laugh were contagious, everyone loved him! This was one of the things that made Debbie fall in love with him. His unconditional love of their children was exactly what she was looking for in a husband.

Jim spent a lot of time out on the water fishing and crabbing but he loved nothing more than being with family – especially their big turkey dinners. He enjoyed any TV program about Bigfoot and also enjoyed watching antique shows, always wondering if anything he owned could be worth some money.

Jim would give the last of his money and the shirt off his back to someone in need. His smile and laugh will be remembered by anyone lucky enough to have known him. When we signed “I Love You” to him he always did the peace sign, which meant “I Love You Too”.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas and Ollie Williams of Nooksack; parents, Mildred and Richard Marois, Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Charles; and grandson, Gene Marois George.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie Marois; children, Kristina Noor (Moe), Joseph Cline, James Marois, Jr., Thomas Marois (Lelanya), Merena Marois (James), and Elizabeth Marois; grandchildren, Khalid, Rebecca, Arthur, Tiana, Zoey, Faith, Layla, Yasmin, Lilly, and Ivy; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, Steve Marois and Richard (Yvette) Marois, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
