Obituary

Jim was born to Jim Kramer Sr. & Margaret Wiediger-Kramer on 5/29/1928 near Scobey, MT. He was the eldest of 5 sons and loved his 4 “little brothers” and all his family deeply. He passed away suddenly last week at Costco, his favorite place to shop. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Criss, 3 of those brothers & their families, many nieces & nephews, 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

He lived a rich, full life and had such a grateful spirit. His hero, next to his Lord & Savior, was Admiral Richard E. Byrd Jr., with whom he sailed to the South Pole in 1946 under mission “Operation HighJump”. Jim was the radar man on duty the night he and Admiral Byrd safely guided the USS Philippine Sea CV-47 through the icebergs in the Antarctic Sea.

A celebration of life with full military honors will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, at 12:00PM at Open Door Fellowship, 373 W. Pole Rd., Lynden WA.

  1. My Dear Friend Criss,I am so very sorry for your loss. I know he meant the absolute world to you! You shared a love that is rarely found anymore. He is resting now in Jesus until that great resurrection day when he will rise to see his beloved Savior fact to face, all well and feeling great! No more heart problems EVER! What a day that will be. Rest in Jesus arms Criss and wrap yourself in His peace. Heaven in on it’s way!
    I love you my friend,
    Bonnie Fuller
