  1. Jim Johnson sat across the table during mealtimes at Highland from my late husband, Bill Johnson. Whenever our family went to see Bill at lunchtime, we always had a smle for Jim, and he always had one for us as well. Tho he did not speak to any of us, he always seemed a gentle soul. We will always remember him as such. Our sympathies to Jim’s entire family. With condoloences Peggy K. Johnson and family

  2. Deneen LeRoy says:

Uncle Jim you were the first real entrepeneur I knew. You always had new ideas most very interesting which I enjoyed hearing about. You raised a wonderful family. You can now rest in peace with a job well done. Lovingly Deneen

  3. I will miss my beautiful dad. His laughter, the sparkle in his eyes, his love of Jesus. His life was full of variety, the spice of life, and we as his children learned many valuable lessons from his adventures. I am blessed, and thankful to have had him as my dad, and will cherish him in my memories always. Peace be with you Dad! I miss you!

  4. JoAnn Cote says:

Jim, you were an amazing big brother. As a child I looked up to you and admired you. As an adult I saw you as a friend. Our times together will be always cared in a special place in my heart. You were and are a special person. You are loved and thought highly of by me and my family.Until we meet again. My brother, God bless you and keep you in his loving arms. All my love to those you left behind.

  5. We were sad to hear of Uncle Jim’s death. He was a great uncle – I remember spending time with cousins and Aunt Ida and Uncle Jim at their farm. Both Charles and I have many good memories of times there for holidays, staying during the summer, and family time together. Jim and I had many discussions about religion and our mutual love of Jesus. I remember him taking correspondence courses – Algebra in particular – and thought how cool that was. I think we both shared a love learning new things. He was the dreamer of new inventions, new ways of doing things, and getting others involved with him. I also thought how neat it was that he was in the Navy and spent time right next door to us at MSU. Duane and I also have a grandson in the Navy now. He is Shannon’s youngest son, Justin, and is stationed at the Norfolk Base in VA. training as an Air Traffic Controller. Our love and prayers go out to all of you. As cousins, we need to keep te family contact going. God bless all of you!
