Obituary

Jagir Kaur Garcha, known lovingly as “Biji” passed away peacefully at the age of 108 on August 19th, 2024. She was born on September 5th, 1915, in Punjab, India, to her parents, Bachint Singh and Kishan Kaur.

Jagir loved having visitors and loved everyone who welcomed her with a smile. She found joy in knitting, cooking, and embroidery, and these activities were a big part of her life.

She was charming, strident, charismatic, funny, faithful, and intelligent. Jagir’s presence brought happiness to those around her.

She is survived by her son Sikander Garcha, her daughter Rashpal Kaur, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday,  August 23rd, 2024 at 10AM at Moles Greenacres, 5700 Northwest Ave, Ferndale, WA 98248.

A prayer service will be held immediately after at Gurdwara Sahib located at 176 E. Pole Rd. in Lynden WA. 98264

Jagir Kaur Garcha will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
