Sorry, that last email should have read from: Dee Day and brothers instead of the way it did! Not sure what happened.

  2. Am so sorry to hear about your loss, didn’t know him that well, but the times that i did,he was always cheerful, and easy to talk to. My heart goes out to you Aunt Arlene, and my prayers are with you. Love, George

  3. My brothers, Steve, David, Billy and I have many wonderful memories of Howard. His family and ours were friends for years…even before we children were born. I am now in my 60’s and Howard helped babysit me when I was a little girl. As far back as I can remember, Howard was always there for our family. We grew up in our Grandmother’s home and I will always be grateful for how kind and helpful he was to our Grandmother. We were just little kids but I remember he painted our house, mowed our lawn regularly and did many other helpful things. Howard could “fix” anything and if he couldn’t find a particular part, he would make it! As children, my brothers and I spent every Christmas Eve in Howard and Betty’s home. They always made it very special for us. In the summers they would take us with them to Birch Bay and we always had such fun spending time there with them. Howard was such a gentleman, always so thoughtful of others. After Betty passed away, we were thankful that Arlene came into Howard’s life and gave him joy in his several remaining years. I visited with Howard a couple months ago in the rest home. I did most of the talking but it was clear that he knew who I was. As always, he called me “Dee Dee” and smiled as I reminisced over many fun events from the past. We will miss Howard and thank God for the many special memories he left us. Our love and prayers for Arlene, The Days – Dee, Steve, David and Billy
