Obituary

Helen Louise Rushin, age 81, passed away September 21, 2014 in Bellingham. She was born August 2, 1933 to Clint and Rowena Bower in Urbana, Missouri. Helen married Joe Rushin in 1959 in Worland, Wyoming. She attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Denver, Colorado. Helen worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center for 27 years as an OB/GYN nurse.

Helen was an avid reader and she loved gardening and traveling. She was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church and enjoyed being involved in many church activities.

She is survived by sons; Matt and Joe Rushin of Bellingham; daughter Nancy Vandegrift of California; sisters Loree Fesenmeyer of Worland, Wyoming and Dorothy Blank of Bellingham and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Rushin (1996), parents Clint and Rowena Bower (Wyoming) and brother Clarence Bower (Alaska).

Farewell Tribute Information

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2:00PM at Northwest Baptist Church, 3545 Northwest Ave., Bellingham. A reception will follow the service.
