Helen Georgina Anderson, 95, went home to be with the lord on December 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas and her parents. She is survived by her daughters Jean (Paul) Sywulka, Jan Anderson, Barb (Bruce) VanderMeulen. Helen is survived by 5 grandchildren whom she dearly loved and prayed for each day: Susie Sywulka serving in Asia, Julie (Rev. Williams) Trigueros from Dallas, husband attending Dallas Theological Seminary, Cathy Sywulka Facilities Coordinator Moody Bible Institute Chicago. Doug (Mara) VanderMeulen web design in Chicago. Andy (Jen) VanderMeulen assistant Director for The Firs Camp Firwood; 7 great-grandchildren: Shemuel, Xaris,Sophie Trigueros, and Brinley, Kaelyn, Skylar, Matthias VanderMeulen . She was very proud that each are christians and serving the Lord.
Mom spent her last 3 years at Springcreek Retirement and Assisted Living in Bellingham. She was happy there and had many friends . Mom is very thankful for the life she was given , married to Douglas her husband for 47 years and both served at The Firs and most for her family who she was so very proud and prayed for daily, this note was left by her for us.
Thank you to our friends and family for all the support you have given us in these days, The Anderson, VanderMeulen and Sywulka families.

By her request no services will be held. Private family graveside has taken place. Donations Information
Memorials may be made to The Firs Campership Fund (where she served for 65 years) and Northlake Community Church Missions Fund (where she was a charter member from Geneva Comm. Church).

I have very fond memories of Helen over the many years I have known her and all of her family. It has been a priviledge to have her as a friend. I know Heaven is a happier place now that she is there.
