Obituary

Grant Daniel Dvorachek was born July 21, 1997 in Bellingham, WA to Tony & Peggy Dvorachek, and passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on November 15, 2018.

From a young age, it was clear that Grant loved animals, a good laugh, and his family. He enjoyed yearly trips to Cannon Beach, OR, snowboarding at Mt. Baker, online gaming, history, and movies. He loved playing football in middle school and high school. In recent months, Grant found rewarding work at Semiahmoo resort as a prep cook. He also had aspirations of returning to school.

Grant’s quick wit and clever turn of phrase, belly laughs, big hugs and heartfelt “I love you”s will be deeply missed by his parents, Tony and Peggy Dvorachek, sister Danica Dvorachek (Joey Domingo), brother Carsdan Dvorachek, grandparents Bessie Dvorachek, John & Beth Blackwood, and numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, and friends that were just like family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northlake Community Church, 1471 McLeod Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226, at 3:00 pm on November 24. Memorial donations can be made to Squalicum High School ASB “for football” or Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.

  1. Hi Peggy and Tony,
Aaron and I are new neighbors in Spring Creek Lane. We live at 4270. We met Peggy and Bruce Alexander a few months ago and know of Grant’s death through Bruce.

We are so sad for the loss of your son just as he was entering adulthood. That is so, so difficult! Aaron and I will be bringing you a dinner 3-5pm on Monday to say “hi” and to wish you the best in moving through your grief.

    Take care,
    Julie and Aaron

    Dear Tony and Peggy,
I would like to offer my condolences on behalf of my family and I. I did not know your son, but with what I’ve read about him, he sounds a lot like Tony.

I don’t know what you are going through right now, I can’t even imagine. As I sit here and write this, I am actually at a loss for words.

Please know, I will be praying for your family.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Peggy and Tony,
There are no words that can express how I feel for your loss. You have been in my thoughts constantly. If I can be of any help please don’t hesitate to ask.
