Obituary

Graham Quick, age 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 28, 2018. Graham was born in Bellingham on December 6, 1936 to Tess Quick and his adoptive father Arthur Quick. Graham graduated from Bellingham High School and then Western Washington State College (WWU) with a Business Degree. After college, Graham joined the Army and served 4 years doing his patriotic duty, before starting work as a Loan Manager at Bellingham National Bank. Graham had many different career paths including owning a furniture store and real estate development.

Graham is survived by his three sons; David Quick of Cave Creek AZ, Daniel Quick of Seattle WA, and Jim Quick of Bellingham WA. He has three prized grandchildren; Autumn and Leah Quick of Cave Creek AZ and Gabriel Quick of Bellingham WA.

Graham was a peaceful, soft spoken and kind man, that will be sorely missed. In recent years, his utmost passion was spending time with his grandchildren. Prior to that, his passion was spending time with his sons. Always a family man, that would give you the last dollar in his wallet, or shirt off his back, to help a friend or family member. And throughout Grahams life, there was golf, golf and more golf. Starting to golf in the back yard of his Fairhaven childhood home and playing countless rounds at the Lakeway Golf Course. Lettered at Bellingham High School and WWU, and won countless tournaments in college and the Army. Although Graham joined the military during a time of peace, we always joked that the closest he came to see fighting action was at the base watering hole because, as soon as the Military Brass learned of his golfing skills, they just sent him to play in tournaments to represent his Vashon Island Base.

Graham’s ashes will be laid to rest during a private family ceremony on Greenacres Memorial Park on Friday February 16th. There will be an Celebration of Life for Graham, open to all that would like to attend, at the Bellingham Country Club Saturday February 17th between 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Graham wished we celebrate his life, not mourn the loss, so please join for a drink and toast to the life of Graham Quick.
