Obituary
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Gloria Tyler passed away at home on October 27. She was 92. Gloria and her twin brother Glen were born in the family home in Tekoa Washington to parents Cliff and Myrtle Jordan on November 21, 1930.It was in Tekoa that Gloria met and married her childhood sweetheart, John Tyler. After their marriage in 1949 they moved to Spokane where they lived many years, raising their three daughters. In 1987 they moved to Bellingham. For the last three years she lived with her daughter Terry and son-in-law Flip on Camano Island.
In addition to raising her three daughters, Gloria had many hobbies but one of the family favorites was her cooking and baking, especially her cookies. In addition, she worked for the Spokesman Review/Spokane Chronicle newspapers in circulation, classified ads and then was promoted to the Farm paper. After leaving she was asked to provide tours through the historic Spokesman Review building. Gloria earned her real estate license and was an agent for James S. Black. In addition Gloria earned her CNA certification and Master Food Preservers certificate. Gloria gave loving care to her mother, Myrtle until her passing. Gloria will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her sense of humor, and her complete devotion to family.
Gloria was proceeded in death by her adored husband of nearly 68 years, John, and her six siblings.
She leaves behind her daughters, Christy Sands and husband John, Terry Arnold and husband Flip and Molly Goe and husband Walt, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
