Gloria Lorraine Larson

June 09, 1925 - September 05, 2015

Gloria Lorraine Larson passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of September 5th. Gloria was born June 9th, 1925 in Hammond, Oregon to William A. and Svea V. Davis; she was the eldest of five children. In 1943, Gloria married Wes Fahlstrom, who fathered three children with Gloria.

Gloria was employed by Bumble Bee Seafood’s as a quality control technician in their Astoria tuna cannery. It was there that Gloria met her future husband of 50 years, Vern O. Larson. In 1959 when Vern was promoted to Superintendent of Bumble Bee’s Puget Sound Salmon operations, they moved to Bellingham, WA.

Gloria loved to cook, bake, draw, and paint landscapes. She enjoyed looking out on to Chuckanut Bay from her living room window, logging all the boats moored in the Bay. She had her pet deer and raccoons whom she fed daily.

She was preceded in death by Wes Fahlstrom Sr., Vern Larson, and her brothers James A. Davis and Wesley Dennis Davis of Astoria.

She is survived by her brother Bill Davis (Hammond, OR), sister Francel “Dolly” Garavaglia (St. Louis, MO), sons Wes Fahlstrom, Edmonds Darryl, and Terry Fahlstrom (Bellingham, WA), Jon O. Larson (Alger, WA), grandchildren Brian Fahlstrom (Kona, HI), Kelly Fahlstrom Street (Aurora, CO), Kjel and Kjirstin Larson (Blaine, WA), and great grandchildren Reagan, Lincoln, and Juliette Street (Aurora, CO).

Gloria’s family wishes to thank Grace Adult Family Home for the years of devoted and loving care.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, September 16 at 12PM at Moles Greenacres Memorial Park (5700 NW Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248) followed by a reception.
