Geraldine Ann Lane was born on July 6, 1950 to Ethel and Jerome DeCoteau and she passed at her home on Kinley Way peacefully on December 26, 2024. Geraldine was known to be called a Wife, Mom, Momma, Grandma, Granny, Honey and Gerri. Gerri married her love of her life Robert “Bobby” Lane SR on September 29, 1973 at their family home. They have 9 daughters and had 1 son. They were blessed with 30 grandchildren and 32 greatgrandchildren. She joined Seowyn on January 21, 1973. Most of her life Gerri was stay at home mom and grandma. But she did work at the old Fisherman’s cove. She was also a flagger and she worked at Bounty Bay fish company for a few years.

In her young days Gerri loved fishing down the by river. She enjoyed canoe pulling with Lady Rose Canoe Club and Autumn Rose Canoe Club. Gerri loved traveling to all the big houses during the winter. She loved traveling to the round drum pow wow trails during the summer time. Gerri loved going to Bingo with her husband and daughters. She loved to gather her family together for family dinners and many birthdays. She loved to just be with family and friends.

Gerri was very humble lady. She had a heart of gold. She had lots of love to give to her children and spiritual children, but also for everyone who walked the life with her from Frazer Valley all the way down to Pacific Northwest. She’s affectionate, caring, compassionate, devoted, empathetic, loving, kind, selfless, inspirational, and patient women. She was a beautiful woman. The Warbus/Lane girls will remember her most by being our mother and the most important women in our lives. She has given us the ultimate gift, the gift of life and nurturing us to who we are today. The way she has taken care of family over the years proves that she was an amazing woman. She was a mother and granny who was accepting and loved all her children no matter what. She loved supporting their decision and encouraged them in every way. She was a loving mom who showed great care and compassion towards her children and everyone around her. She was a mom that enjoys a good time and lighthearted, and fun mom and granny.

She was a lovely soul with the face of an angel. Everyone who has met her sees how caring she was toward everyone. She was a generous person who gave from her heart and was willing to go the extra mile for the people she loved. She was a loveable person. She was a humble mom, she did not brag about what she has done. She was the most honest, caring, truthful, selfless, sincere and genuine women. Geraldine will be remembered for being one of a kind and she will be irreplaceable mom, momma and granny. No one could ever take her place.
