Obituary

Gerald Walter “Bud “Todd II passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, in Bellingham, Washington. He was 94 years old. Gerald was born on May 16, 1930, to Gerald and Faye Todd in Seattle, Washington. Gerald attended Lake Samish Elementary School, Whatcom Junior High, and Bellingham High School (Class of 1949); where he was a member of the varsity golf team. After jobs with Boeing and Bellingham Herald …. Bud was a proud member of the United States Postal Service for where he served as a mail man for the next 30 years.

Gerald was an avid tennis player and was an exceptionally talented piano player to his last days. He loved classic movies- especially musicals, the Price is Right and his thrice weekly trips to Subway. Gerald was a man with a gentle, deep soul, a great sense of humor and had a genuine faith in God.

Gerald is survived by his children: Steven, Robert and Barbara and step-children  Darlene, Bradley, Andrea, Half- brother Mike Todd and Cousin Terry Todd and 2nd Cousin “nephew” Rick Todd and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of a large loving family.

Gerald was preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey, stepson Gregory. Father Gerald and his stepmother Muriel and his mother Faye and his uncle’s Forrest, Vic, Don, and his aunt Charlene.

The family would like to thank Whatcom Hospice House for their amazing care and kindness of Gerald in his last days. There will be a graveside service on Thursday September at 2 pm at Greenacres Memorial Cemetery.
