Carmen, As usual for me, my timing is horrible. I was listening to the Ray Coniff Singers and of course remembering that George played almost nothing but them on his radio when we were in Tech School in Wichita Falls, Texas. For the life of me I can’t remember Larry’s last name but the two of them exposed me to a world that up until that time, I didn’t know existed. The three of us were together in school for around six months I think. My Dad agreed to drive Larry’s souped up 1958 Chev down so we would have a car and we paid his expenses and bus fare back to Indiana. Dad was an ex-Marine and he loved being around us for a couple of days. I am so sorry that George has passed and that I missed chatting with him, but I’m sure the two of you had a great life together.
