  1. I never had the pleasure of meeting Genice n person but feel like I knew her very well as I have been writing to her and sending cards for sometime after I heard of her illness through another friend. She always wrote me back until recently when she could no longer write and had someone answer on her behalf. I wrote back to her and told her not to worry about writing me that I would just continue to write her and send cards. On Wed. morning I had Genice on my mind and mailed a card to her not knowing it was her final day. I felt so sad today when I heard of her passing and feel that I have lost a very dear friend. I know she is at peace and no longer suffering but I will truly miss her and look forward to meeting her in heaven someday.
May her loved ones be at peace that she is no longer suffering.

Genice was my neighbor. She was the sweetest, most honest and caring person. She was always willing to share what she had with anyone. She was even a foster mom to several teens whom she gave a warm bed, home and love during their difficult circumstances delt to them.

May fond memories help to ease the pain, to family and friends.

It was with sorrow and sadness I heard of Genice’s passing today. She and I met at the University of Alaska Anchorage where we were working toward Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work. We became fast friends and enjoyed each other’s company very much. She was a good, kind, fun and devout Christian woman and we did keep in touch for several years after she left Alaska. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Much love to all. Rose Stasco
