Gary W. Hall

March 28, 1947 - May 22, 2025

Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Hall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 78 and went to his eternal home with the Lord.

Born on March 28th, 1947, Gary lived a faith-driven life full of purpose, generosity, and quiet strength.  Known for his steady wisdom and unwavering love for his family, Gary was the kind of man who made an impact not with grand gestures, but with the way he showed up – day after day, year after year – for the people and causes he cared about.

Gary was a devoted family man, married to the love of his life, Gail, for over 58 years. He was the proud father to Justin and Carrie, Bre and Eric, and Angie, and the Papa/Grandpa to Taylor, Jacob, Mia, and Max, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He was a trusted mentor, avid cyclist, hiker, and was always ready with a helping hand.

Whether working with his hands, cheering from the sidelines, walking the golf course, or sharing his daily devotion, Gary found meaning in the simple moments of life.  His mentorship led others to find faith, wisdom, and healing.  Gary also served on numerous boards, including Lynden Christian Schools, Second Chance Advisory, Lynden Christian Health Care Center, and Grace Baptist Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife Gail, his sisters Joanne (John), Charlene, and Diane (Bill), his children Justin (Carrie), BreAnne (Eric), and Angela, and his grandchildren Taylor, Jacob, Mia, and Max. He was also a father figure to many, including Seth (Sarah) and grandchildren Adaiah, Nason, Enan, Paddan, and Tiras; and Ian (Kate) and grandchildren Marvin and Sophia, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on June 4th, 2025, from 1-3 PM at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Bike MS Campaign, which was an organization that he contributed to for many years.
