Obituary

Gary A. Weinard, age 74, passed away on Feb. 12, 2016 in Bellingham, WA. Gary was a man of true dignity and integrity. He believed in old fashioned values like loving your family, honesty, and hard work. Born on July 6, 1941 in Oregon City, OR to Paul and Leah Weinard, Gary grew up to serve in the Marines for 3 years and to work for the Federal Government for 35 years, including 4 years with the Post Office. He retired as an Electrical Engineer with the Bonneville Power Administration where he received multiple awards for outstanding leadership of his crew. Gary was a faithful and committed member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 32 years, during which time he built strong and rewarding relationships and sponsored many people through the program. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, and fishing. Gary was known for his love of family and people, all of whom he cared for deeply. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Weinard (Krenz), his daughters Pennie Fullilove and Christine Stinson, step-children Dennis Krenz, Debra Mullen, and Devin Krenz, 7 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and siblings Joyce Somerfelt and Paul Weinard. Gary is preceded in death by siblings Deana Steele, Janice Jorgenson, and Ronald Weinard.
Admired by all who knew him, Gary was the picture of what a good man is. We will forever carry him in our hearts.

Services will be held on Saturday Feb. 20, 1:00pm at Moles Farewell Tributes – Greenacres in Fendale.
