We lost my dad to cancer when I was just 30 years old.
10 years later Mom married Gary and he became an instant step-dad and grandpa to the whole family. Over the next 20 years he would be there for all those events in our lives…grandkids graduations, marriages and yes, over time, the great grandkids!
He never, ever tried to replace or fill my dad’s shoes but, instead stood on his own two feet. In his gentle and quiet way, Gary became a very important member of our family. He loved my Mom, my brothers and I, our spouses, our children and our grandchildren. He loved us and in turn we ALL loved him!!
I am going to miss Gary. I am going to miss his quiet laugh/giggle and how when we would go to visit…he would always stand there waiting patiently, to give me one of his big ol’ hugs!
‘Gary-kins‘ thanks for being a part of our crazy family. We love you and will truly miss you. Until we meet again.
Love you,
Melody, Mark Olson and families

To the Richball Family,
We know this has been a very difficult time for you guys. Please know our love and thoughts are with you.
We enjoy what time we had with your father.
The tribute to Gary is how well he and your mothered did such a good job in rising their children.

I am so very proud to say Gary was my Brother-in Law I had two wonderful men to call Brother-in law. Gary was so kind never heard and negative comment about anyone, that is the way he lived his life. Truly a good and special soul. I remember sitting down and Gary telling me how he met his wife Betty, what a twinkle in his eyes, he just lit up. Betty confided in me, one of her last words were: “Gary You were a good husband” We could all see that. They were both blessed. You will be missed. Until we are reunited once again.
