Obituary

Gail Hovard, 84, died peacefully on August 16, 2016, with her family by her side in Bellingham, Washington.

Gail had a love of gardening and lifelong commitment to charitable work. She was an active member of Seattle Children’s Hospital Dr. Samuel G. Brooks Guild in Anacortes. She was an avid quilter and her life passion was making children’s quilts for the young patients at the hospital.

Gail’s creative spirit, kindness, friendship, support of her family and others will the truly missed.

Gail is survived by her 5 children, John, Heidi, Chris, Bill & Pete, and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hovard.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 25th at Trinity Anglican Church, 1200 Cleveland Avenue in Mount Vernon at 11:00 a.m.

Gail has requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital or Trinity Anglican Church.
