Obituary

Florence I. Knaus, age 92, passed away in Bellingham on Sunday, July 28, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born October 28, 1920 in Lake City, SD to Alfred and Ella (Bates) Stolle.

She married the love of her life, William Bill Knaus on September 29, 1940. Together they were called by God to serve as missionaries for the Child Evangelism Fellowship. They began this journey by traveling to Brazil to build camps and missions for children, and this took them all over the world, from 1952- 1969. They returned to Bellingham and continued to work at the Firs. Bill preceded her in death in 2011. Florence liked to entertain and bake, but most important was taking care of her beloved Bill.

She is survived by her children, Priscilla Crisman and David Knaus; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Ella Haydon; brother-in-law Ed Barnhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
