Obituary

Evelyn R Bauer, passed away in Bellingham WA on Monday, September 12, 2017 following a short illness. Evelyn had just celebrated her 93rd birthday on August 12, 2017; she was born in Bellingham, WA in 1924. Evelyn graduated from Mount Baker High School and lived her whole life in the Bellingham area. She married Ezra “Pete” Bauer in 1948 and they were married for 47 years, until his passing in 1995.
Evelyn was very talented and had a great love for gardening. Of her many talents, she enjoyed, knitting, crocheting, and needle work, and was a very talented closet artist. Evelyn was an excellent seamstress and loved cooking for her family. Her greatest joys were her four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her son Douglas (Karen) Bauer of Seattle; daughter, Nancy (Kenneth) Kelln of Bellingham; grandchildren Sarah (Clark) Munger of Oklahoma City, Kyle Bauer of Seattle, Kristin (Christopher) Austin of Seattle, Kymmie (Matthew) Bergeron of Whidbey Is, and four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Monday, September 18, 2017 at 12:00pm at Greenacres Memorial Park (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale) with Rev. Timothy Whiteman, Central Lutheran Church, officiating. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham WA 98225, or Central Lutheran Church, 925 N. Forest St. Bellingham, WA 98225.

  1. I was so saddened to hear my Aunt Evelyn passed. She was a funny and caring woman. She was the last of her siblings and she will be missed. We can all find peace in the fact that the circle in heaven is now complete.
