Obituary

Evelyn Elizabeth Dick passed away in her sleep on June 18th 2016 at the age of 93. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Fred and Catherine Homan. She married Herbert M. Dick on September 2, 1942 in Richmond, B.C. They moved to Gabriola Island after Herbert’s service with the Air Force where their son Ralph was born. They moved to Bellingham in 1949, where later their daughter Cathy was born. Evelyn was employed by Dr. Farr as a Dental Assistant until her retirement. Evelyn was a master seamstress, whom enjoyed crocheting, and was also an avid knitter. She enjoyed playing cribbage and loved watching the Seattle Mariners baseball games.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Herb.
She is survived by son Ralph Dickenson and wife Pat, daughter Cathy Rothenbuhler and husband Mark, granddaughter Elizabeth Archer and husband Mike, grandson David Dickenson and wife Polly, granddaughter Breanna Rothenbuhler and Grant Pederson, granddaughter Kyla Denton and husband Steve, granddaughter Lea Van Zandt and husband Chris, and great grandchildren Adee Archer, Ainsley Hedden and Lyla Van Zandt.
She will be lovingly remembered by her Caretakers Gina & Paula whom she was teaching to knit and to love Mariners baseball!
